Description:
Shea nuts are primarily grown in West and Central Europe in the semi-arid Sahel, referred to by traders as the "Shea Belt". Vitellaria paradoxa and Vitellaria nilotica are the main varieties. Vitellaria paradoxa is exported in the largest volume and grows throughout the World.  
 
Shea nut products; the solid fat (stearin) and the liquid (olien), are ideal for use as raw materials in cooking oil, margarine, cosmetics, soap, detergents and candles, but it has found its primary market niche as a substitute for cocoa butter in the chocolate and confectionery industry. 
 
100% Shea butter is extracted from Shea nuts. Shea butter is used for body, hand and facial products because of its unsaponifiables content. Shea butter contains ester resins recommended for damaged skin repair, cleansing and the sun's protection. Phytosterols content helps cellular stimulation and regeneration. Shea butter contains latex, which prevents against sun allergies. Our Butter is churned from Fresh Cream to make Lactic, Salted or Unsalted Butter, supplied in 25kg Boxes. We supply Bulk Butter to some of the largest food manufacturers in the UK ,USA Europen and all over there world as an essential ingredient for application in products such as cakes, pastries, sauces and soups.

 

Butter Oil (AMF)

Butter Oil (Anhydrous Milk Fat) is a concentrated butter made from Fresh Cream that is 99.8% pure Butter Fat with no additives. We can supply Butteroil in Bulk Tankers, 1T Totes, 200kg Drums and 25kg, 20kg or 12.5kg boxes. It is used as a food ingredient in the manufacture of Chocolate, Ice Cream and Spreadable Butters.

 

RO Concentrates

Through sophisticated Reverse Osmosis technology, we can produce skim and blended Concentrated Milks.  They are available with 26% or 35% solids and are used in production of fresh products such as ice cream, yoghurt and for milk powder production

We produce 12,000 tonnes a year each of Bulk Butter and Butter Oil (Anhydrous Milk Fat) from our flagship facility in Chester, which we supply across the UK, Europe and Worldwide.
 
 

Fresh Packed Creams & Milks

After acquiring a bespoke facility in Peterborough in 2009 we have grown to become the market leader in Packed Creams and Milks in  Ukraine and have pledged to invest £1.8 million in our cream facility in 2013 to further increase capacity and efficiency.
Our Fresh Packed Creams and Milks Division is based at our factory in Yevhena Konoval,taya St,4, Ternopil, Ternopil,s,ka oblast,4600 UKRAINE . Meadow Foods acquired this bespoke facility in 2009 and we have an ongoing investment programme, improving efficiency and increasing the capacity of the cream plant, having already invested £1.3M in 2012 automating the Cultured Plant and doubling its capacity.
 
 
 

Packed Cream

We manufacture a wide range of Fresh Creams from 16% Cream to 48% Double Cream, which we can sweeten and stabilise if required. The Fresh Creams are packed into 15kg or 25kg Bag-in-Tray, 500kg “Slim Pallecons” or 1T Pallecons. We buy in and process over 70,000T of bulk cream a year ensuring our Packed Creams business always has a secure supply of the highest quality cream.
 
 
 

Packed Milk

With our own dedicated farmer supply of over 500M Litres of milk, we have a secure supply for our packed milks business and are able to pack a wide variety of milks, including Skimmed and Semi-Skimmed, Whole, Homogenised and Channel Island. Sweetened Condensed Milks

Sweetened Condensed Milk and Sweetened Condensed Skimmed Milk is produced by adding refined sugar to standardised milk or skim, which is then evaporated up to 73% solids. We can supply full fat (8% fat) and skimmed (0.5% fat), packed in 13kg poly bottles, drums, bulk tankers, and 1T or 1.3T  IBCs.  Our product is used by confectioners to produce toffee, caramel, fudge and similar products.

 

Chocolate Crumb

Chocolate Crumb is a blend of refined sugar, milk and cocoa liquor, which is vacuum dried to create a crumb like powder. This premium product is essential to give a distinctive caramelised flavour to chocolate. Crumb can include 6.8%, 13% or 15% cocoa liquor and is packed in 25kg or 1T bags.  We can manufacture crumb to meet both Fair Trade and Rain Forest Alliance requirements.

Nonfat Dry Milk Grade A Low Heat

Spray Dried Grade “A” Low Heat Nonfat Dry Milk is the powder resulting from the removal of the fat and water from fresh Grade “A” Milk. It contains the lactose, milk proteins and milk minerals in the same relative proportions as they occur in fresh milk. The product is made from fresh, pasteurized nonfat milk to which no preservative, alkali, neutralizing agent or other chemical has been added. Extra Grade High Heat NFDM is an Extra Grade Spray Dried Nonfat Milk Powder which has been subjected to a High Heat treatment. It contains the lactose, milk proteins and milk minerals in the same relative proportions as they occur in fresh milk. The product is made from fresh, pasteurized nonfat milk to which no preservative, alkali, neutralizing agent or other chemical has been added. Because of its high absorption qualities, DairyUkraine’s Extra Grade High Heat NFDM is especially suited for baked goods, dry mixes, and process meat.

Skim Milk Powder

Skim Milk Powder is obtained by removing water from pasteurized skim milk. It contains 5% or less moisture (by weight) and 1.5% or less milkfat (by weight) and a minimum milk protein content of 34%. Skim Milk Powder is classified for use as an ingredient according to the heat treatment used in their manufacture. There are three main classifications: high-heat (least soluble), medium-heat, and low-heat (most soluble). Spray-dried Skim Milk Powder is available in two forms: ordinary or non-agglomerated (non-instant) and agglomerated (instant).
 
The difference between Skim Milk Powder and Nonfat Dry Milk is that Skim Milk Powder’s protein can be adjusted to 34% by using one of the following: 
 
Milk Retentate - the product obtained by concentrating milk protein by ultrafiltration of milk, partly skimmed milk, or skimmed milk; 
 
Milk Permeate - the product obtained by removing milk proteins and milkfat from milk, partly skimmed milk, or skimmed milk by ultrafiltration; 
 
Lactose - a disaccharide sugar derived from galactose and glucose that is found in milk.

Dry Whole Milk (DWM) 

Production Definition 
 Dry Whole Milk usually is obtained by the removal of water from pasteurized milk, 
which also may have been homogenized. Alternatively, DWM may be obtained by blending 
fluid, condensed or nonfat dry milk with liquid or dry cream or with fluid, condensed or dry 
milk, provided the resulting DWM is equivalent in composition. It contains not less than 26% 
but less than 40% milkfat (by weight) on an “as is” basis and not more than 5% moisture (by 
weight) on a milk solids-not-fat basis. Optionally, it may be fortified with either Vitamins A or 
D, or both. The primary DWM products are those having 26.0% and 28.5% milkfat. DWM for 
human consumption complies with all provisions of the Ukraine Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic 
Act.
